Romanian coach Sumodica has confirmed that the players of his team fought to win the club yesterday, at the meeting of the two teams in the championship of Prince Mohammed bin Salman for professionals.

Sumodica said: "The youth was the most dangerous and offered a lot of offensive opportunities against the club, but the result was a draw.

"We played against a team with the largest budget in the kingdom to buy players," Sumodica said. "A player of the federation is worth 10 million euros, more than all the financial leagues.

"The young audience is prepared to fight to book us a place in the Asian Championship next season," Sumodica said.

The match between Al Ittihad and Al Shabab ended in a negative draw at a meeting held yesterday at the Jawhara radio stadium in Jeddah.

Al Shabab is now third with 33 points.
