Fiorentina beat Rome 7-1 in the quarter-finals of the Italy Cup on Wednesday night at Artemio Franchi.

The defense of Rome collapsed against the offensive forces of Fiorentina. Federico Chiza scored a hat trick in the seventh, eighteenth and seventy-four minutes, Giovanni Simone scored in the 79th and 89th minute, Luis Morel scored in the 33rd minute and Marco Benasi scored in the 66th minute.
Serbian striker Aleksandr Kularov only played one goal in the 28th minute and Bosnian striker Edem Djeko received a red card for outrageous action against the referee.
Fiorentina will be in the semifinals of the tournament in Milan and Atalanta. The winner should face Inter Milan and Lazio on Thursday.
