KUWAIT, Jan. 31 (KUNA) – The Kuwait Cancer Center on Thursday launched Gulf Awareness Week, which aims to educate all target groups about health and protect Gulf societies from the dangers of the disease. .
Dr Khuloud Al-Ali, director of the Center, told KUNA that the unified Gulf campaign was being held under the auspices of the Gulf Cancer Center in cooperation with the Gulf Union for the Fight Against Cancer, which aims to unite media messages within the GCC.
Al-Ali added that the awareness campaign was launched for the fourth consecutive time in the Gulf, on the occasion of the World Cancer Awareness Day organized by the World Health Organization and called on governments and their bodies to unite their efforts and make the decisions that are required to fight this disease. The events were held under the patronage of Dr. Sheikh Al-Sabah, Minister of Health, reflecting the interest of the Ministry and the Kuwait Cancer Center in cancer awareness and culture.

She explained that the cooperation between these organizations was aimed at sensitizing each individual in the community to the risk factors that could contribute to the disease, be it environmental or nutritional.
