Al-Ahli coach Martin Lassarty has attributed his players' injuries to the many games in which the club participates in various competitions, which requires additional effort.
"I think we are good physically, but the problem is that we play every 72 hours, which is illogical and causes a lot of injuries," said the Uruguay coach in an interview published on the site of the African Football Confederation (CA).
"The players are slowly coming back into the team and we have to keep working."

Al-Ahli is missing because of injuries sustained by Hossam Ashour, Mohamed Naguib, Ahmed Fathi, Walid Sulaiman, Marwan Mohsen, Walid Azarou, Ramdan Sobhi and Yasser Ibrahim, who are also absent from Hamdi Fathi and Saad Samir.
