Panasonic is currently producing a floor lamp with a hidden security camera, allowing homeowners to monitor their property without the need for wall cameras.
But the invention raised many concerns regarding the privacy or exploitation of AiRBnB camera owners in the spying of camera owners without their knowledge.
According to Panasonic, its new lamp, HOMEHAWK FLOOR, has a simple design and you can only imagine a camera inside without having checked the camera closely, and you can then identify the big lens that allows a wide field of vision covering the space.
The device comes with two options, either 4 or 6 feet, to allow the user to place it on its stand or on the shelves.
The camera can capture any nearby motion and record them in high resolution, even in the absence of light, thanks to the colorful night vision technology.
The recording starts two seconds before the activation of any motion sensor and can be seen on the HOMEHAWK app via Android or IOS devices.
Homeowners can also use the camera's internal microphone to connect to their home via the lamp and is compatible with voice assistance services such as Siri, Google and Alexa.
