Apple revoked Thursday its developer license granted to Google, after being canceled for violating its rules through an app that retrieves user data in a gift item, according to the Verdege technology website.
The withdrawal of Google's license temporarily prevented the testing of its applications on iOS devices and the use of some internal applications.
TechCrunch revealed on Wednesday that Google has been running a Screenwise Meter application since 2012 that offers users gift cards to view their activities.
The application was hidden in a new initiative launched by the company, the Google Opinions Rewards program, which encourages users to install tracking systems on mobile phones, web browsers and TVs.
Google offers users the option of guest mode, which allows users to suspend data collection, especially when a person under the age of 13 uses the device.
This app violates Apple's policies.
On Wednesday night, Google acknowledged the misuse of the application and promised to turn it off on iOS devices running iOS from Apple.
