On Friday, Qatar won the continental trophy for the first time in its history, beating Japan 3-1 in the final of the continental championship in Abu Dhabi.
Kuwaiti and Omani supporters took to the streets at the end of the match by waving Qatar flags and chanting slogans congratulating the team for its achievements. Kuwait also lit its towers with the Qatar flag to celebrate the victory.
