LONDON (Reuters) – British explorers Emiliano Sala and pilot David Ibotson, who disappeared two weeks ago over the sea, were found under water in the wreckage of the wreck from the plane, about 20 km north of the island of Guernsey, announced Monday British investigators.
"Tragically and in a video sequence (from the remote control), we saw a passenger among the debris," said the Air Accident Investigation Directorate in a statement.
It has not yet been determined whether the body belongs to the player or the pilot.
On Sunday, British authorities discovered the wreckage of the plane, which crashed into a tragic accident that killed English Premier League player Emiliano Sala.
According to the British newspaper "The Guardian", the plane of the deceased player would have been found at sea, off the Channel Islands, which separates the south of England from northern France.
A private search boat, hired by the family of the deceased player, was used and donated by donors. The wreckage was identified Sunday morning.
Argentine striker Emiliano Sala, a French striker from Nantes, disappeared near a Normandy beach on January 21st.
Emiliano Sala traveled to England to begin his career in Cardiff City, which announced the appointment of the player over the past three and a half seasons for 18 million pounds, the most expensive affair in club history.
Investigators say that a body can be seen in the wreckage of the plane that was carrying the Cardiff City footballer, Emiliano Sala, while they're broadcasting underwater footage.
