Former Liverpool striker, Emile Heskey, believes that the loss of the English Premier League title by the Reds this season will expose his team to a risk of breaking with Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool tied with West Ham with one goal for each team at an exciting summit on the 25th round of the English Premier League, the second consecutive winner of the competition. (See details)

"There is always a risk that Salah wants to leave if Liverpool does not win the championship this season," Heskey told Express.

However, Hiskey thinks he's likely to remain Liverpool's top scorer last season, though he can not win the title.

"I'm not saying that Salah, Roberto Fermino and Sadio Mani will be thinking of leaving if they do not win the title this season, but there are many reasons why they stay at Anfield."

Hiskey also claimed that the positive mentality was the difference between the current Liverpool team and one that had not yet won the league title in previous seasons.

"Liverpool players have a stronger mentality now where they can earn points when they do not play well."

"That's what I like in Liverpool right now, they are at a better level than before," he said.

The draw kept the gap between Liverpool and Manchester City by 3 points just 13 laps before the end of the tournament.

Liverpool remained at the top of the table with 62 points and was only 3 points behind City.

West Ham scored 32 points in 12th place.
