The number of deaths in Morocco due to the virus, "swine flu", to 16 people, according to a government channel.
"The balance of the H1N1 virus has risen to 16," said Tuesday the second channel (government) without further details.
Last Sunday, the number of deaths reached 11, according to the Moroccan Minister of Health, Anas Dekali.
"Out of a total of 58 cases, 15 are recovering, while 32 are still being treated," said the health ministry in a statement.
The ministry said the dead are spread in six cities, four in Casablanca, three in Tangier and one in Rabat, Fez, Tan Tan and Azilal.
"The drugs are available in public hospitals, as well as drug distribution companies to provide private clinics."
"The current epidemiological situation remains normal compared to previous seasons and corresponds to the global epidemiological situation, according to the World Health Organization," the ministry said.
From 2009 to 2010, the number of swine flu cases worldwide was widespread, causing thousands of deaths.
The virus, which is transmitted among the infected, causes high temperatures and breathing problems that can lead to life.
