Does climate change affect the color of the earth? (Twitter)

The study, published in the journal Nature Communications, said that climate change is already altering the structure of phytoplankton, and thus the color of the oceans and the blue planet.
The oceans appear in blue because the water molecules absorb almost all the sun's rays, with the exception of the blue part of the spectrum. However, whatever the living organism in the ocean, phytoplankton, for example, the pigment it contains will absorb less green parts and reflect more.
The results showed that climate change had a significant impact on phytoplankton in the world's oceans, which would change color and increase the intensity of blue and green areas.
"There will be a marked difference in the color of 50% of the oceans by the end of the 21st century," said MIT Researcher Stephanie Dutkowitz on the Weather Channel website. "It could be very dangerous."
Blue areas, such as subtropical areas, will become dark shadows, the study said. Some greener areas, such as areas near the poles, can now turn into deeper colors.
