Oceans lose their blue color for 80 years

An alarming study has revealed that the Earth's oceans could lose their distinctive blue color in just 80 years. Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in America have revealed that climate change is disrupting phytoplankton, which means that the blue and green regions of the ocean will experience an intensification of colors that will affect colors.

As part of the study, the research team used computer models, based on expected climate change, and discovered that by 2100, more than 50% of the planet's oceans would be modified by the climate.
