The Colombian Football Federation announced Thursday the signing of a contract with Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz until the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
"My goal is to maintain the status, reputation and prestige of the Colombian national team in the world, and that will be my priority," Kiros told the federation's headquarters in Bogota.
"I want to thank all the fans in Colombia, as well as the Federation for their trust in me, I hope to do the job to perfection."
Former Real Madrid coach Carlos Queiroz, 65, has been the Colombian federation's first choice since Jose Pekerman's resignation.
He took charge of the Iranian national team between 2011 and 2019 and led it to the World Cup twice in 2014 and 2018.
Kirosh resigned from his Iranian coaching post after a 3-0 loss to Japan in the Asian Cup semifinal, unveiled in the UAE on Feb. 1.
