10 people died in the fire of the Brazilian club Flamengo

A fire broke out Friday at the Brazilian club Flamengo, leaving at least 10 dead and at least three injured.

The fire occurred in the Brazilian club stadium, which was expanded just two months ago.

It was not clear if any of the Flamengo players had been injured.

"Kids in the club's youth sector were home at the time," Firefighter Douglas Hino told Globo News.

The fire broke out a few days after heavy rains hit the Brazilian city, killing at least six people.
