LONDON (Reuters) – Liverpool had a record-breaking 455 million pounds ($ 590 million) last season, Liverpool said in its financial report on Friday.
The club's capital business figure was boosted by an increase of £ 90 million at the end of the fiscal year, May 31, 2018, after the team had reached the finals of the Champions League.
"We have seen a steady improvement in the club's financial situation in recent years," said Andy Hughes, head of operations at Liverpool. "This growth and the increase in revenues allowed us to reinvest vigorously in the first team and in the operational infrastructure of football".
Liverpool scored 72 million pounds in the Champions League final, with a profit of 142 million pounds.

Outside the green rectangle, media revenues for the club increased £ 66m to £ 220m from $ 154m to $ 17m, and revenues from club games are from £ 74 million to £ 81 million. (AFP)
