Al-Sheikh Al-Sheikh, the owner of Pyramids, accepted the proposal of the Egyptian Football Federation to play against Al-Ahli on January 28 in the Egyptian Cup instead of the league.

In a statement to the MBC Egypt, Al-Sheikh said: "The proposal of the Football Association is perfectly logical. This is not an ideal solution for us, but it is satisfactory for us and also for the club Al Ahli. "

The pyramids refused to play Al Ahli in the league on February 28 before the match between Al Ahli and Zamalek to preserve the chances of the teams competing for the title, said Pyramides in a statement.

"The rejection of this proposal is a deliberate sabotage of the league, a dangerous transgression and a state of non-cooperation," he said. "We will not object or be firm, and we will accept this proposal".

Ahli did not make a statement or respond to the Football Federation's proposal, but Mahmoud al-Khatib, president of the Red Club, called for an emergency meeting on Saturday to discuss and consult.
