Saraya – The body of Emiliano Sala, a professional footballer born in Argentina, was officially identified as being transferred Thursday to the port of Portland, police said in a statement.
Sala, 28, was leaving Nantes in the west of France on January 21 to take part in her first match for the English Premier League club Cardiff City when her plane disappeared over the English Channel. The wreckage was found Sunday.
The plane had disappeared about two weeks ago over the English Channel, about twenty kilometers north of Gurnsey Island.
On Sunday, a rescue boat found the wreckage of the plane carrying Sala between the French cities of Nantes and Cardiff at the bottom of the English Channel.
