Ahli made his first reaction after the Football Association's decision to set a new date for the match between Al Ahly and Pyramids during the 16th round of the Egyptian Cup and fix the match date on 28 February.
"We will not take any decision from the board to wait for the official notification from the Football Association to set a new date for Al Ahli against the Pyramids in the Cup," said club spokesman Sharif Fouad.
During a televised statement on Al-Ahli channel, Fouad said: "Ahli made his decisions at the last meeting, so our decisions are absolutely clear to everyone."
Al Ahli had decided not to play the Pyramids in the Egyptian Cup on schedule for the match between the two teams in the league and was scheduled for late February (see details)
"It did not bother us to postpone our match with the Pyramids in the league, until the football federation convenes the official meeting in the presence of the suspended president, Zamalek."
He continued: "The meeting of the Football Federation was officially announced in the decisions, for Ahli," invalid "because of the presence of the president of Zamalek and the representative of Ali al-Ahly, Khaled Mortaji.
"We have taken a stand to preserve the rights of the club and, in the end, we will await the official decision of the Red Castle board of directors," he concluded.
