Bayern Munich President Uli Hoeness revealed that he was hiring Juergen Klopp, the current Liverpool manager, to train the Bavarian team 11 years ago.
"Personally, I have a lot of praise for the Juergen Club," Hoeness said.
"Several years ago, we agreed to cooperate, but we finally signed with Juergen Klinsmann to coach the team," he said.
"Here he showed me how much I respect him and respect his work."
That happened when Klob was the coach of Mainz, but Hoeness's decision seemed to be wrong, as Klinsmann was not crowned and left only one season after Bayern.
He was crowned with two consecutive Bundesliga titles with Dortmund before leaving and coaching for Liverpool.
