The Saudi consulate in Los Angeles said Sunday that the final report on the death of the student Bander al-Barqi in San Diego, California, had not yet been published by local investigators.
According to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadh, the consulate confirmed that it had hired a lawyer to follow the case, which is still under investigation, pointing out that it follows constantly inquiry.
The consulate said it will "clarify the cause of death immediately after the publication of the final report," denying the publication of prior statements of the cause of death, reported by local media.
