Sources revealed that the new regulations of the activities of the General Desalination Organization had restored the housing allowance for the employees of the institution, which the employees have prepared for them after a long period of waiting after an interruption extended indemnity.

Sultan al-Sheikh, chairman of the workers 'committee of the General Desalination Authority, said he met with the Minister of the Civil Service, Abdulrahman Al-Barrak, late Muharram, and handed him the workers' demands, including including reimbursement of allowances. Inviting the "Barrak" to request a study of the issue, noting that the Foundation has received the resignation of 700 employees last year out of 10,000 employees.

And that the suspension of the payment of the indemnities is a misunderstanding in the demand, since 95% of the employees working in the system of manpower, while 5% of them work in the civil service, and that resolution 101 issued in 1405 AH, which stopped the benefits, does not include employees Workers working on the system.

He explained that the expert body planned to grant to the employees of the institution a housing allowance and a health insurance, announcing that it was about the future large development projects, pointing out that the institution had been forced to launch a call for tenders for the exploitation of Ras al-Khair after being unable to function.

Many employees of the General Desalination Organization were pleased with the release of the new regulation, which included several previous allowances, in addition to the housing allowance.
