"The United States can not crush the company," Huawei, founder of Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei, told the BBC.
Ren Zheng said that the arrest of his daughter Meng Wanzo, executive director of Huawei, had a political motive.
The United States has filed criminal charges against the company, including money laundering, bank fraud and obstruction of justice, and Huawei has denied any wrongdoing.
