The Football Federation issued a statement in which it stressed the need to respect the licenses, a prerequisite for the participation of Egyptian clubs in the championships of Africa.
The text of the Football Association statement reads as follows:
"The Egyptian Football Federation has called on the clubs of the Premier League to ensure that the licensing procedures granted to them are not breached as a condition for their renewal, under which these licenses participate in African championships clubs. "
"The Egyptian Federation is based on Article 9-1 (norms), in addition to the recognition signed by the clubs in this regard, including the obligation to participate in competitions organized by the Union, especially the league and the Cup of Egypt. "
It should be noted that the Football Association will nominate participants to the African Champions League and African Confederation for the 2019/2018 season, as the Egyptian football season will continue at the start of both championships in August.
The Egyptian league ends in August and after Egypt hosted the African Nations Cup from June 21 to July 19.
