Special representative of Sultan Qaboos to head Oman delegation to Euro-Arab Summit

On the invitation of Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Sultan of Oman, Asad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Relations and International Cooperation and Special Representative of Sultan Qaboos, will visit Egypt on Saturday to lead the Sultanate delegation to the first Arab-European summit. In Sharm El Sheikh on the 24th and 25th of this month.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Relations and International Cooperation is accompanied by an official delegation composed of: Badr Bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Futtaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr. Fuad Bin Jaafar Al Sagwani, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Dr. Ali Bin Ahmed Al-Issai, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, and several officials.

The participation of the Sultanate in the first summit between the Member States of the League of Arab States and the European Union, hosted by Egypt, testifies to the interest of contributing to the success of the summit of Sharm el Sheikh, who will begin next Sunday, during which presidents, leaders and representatives of European and Arab countries will participate in the debate on mutual understanding. Cooperation between the Arab world and Europe, discussing issues of mutual interest and correcting misconceptions on each side.

The next summit also discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation between Arab and European countries, focusing on trade relations and investments in infrastructure and energy, including renewable energies.
