Ambassador Hussein Haridi, former deputy secretary of state, said the Arab-European summit scheduled for Sunday and Monday is the first of its kind.
In a telephone conversation with the dmc channel on Friday, Hridi said the summit aimed to bring perspectives closer to the challenges facing the Middle East and the historic role Egypt has always played as a bridge between Arabs and Europe.

In its report, the Observatory said that the growing threats and common challenges created by international terrorism and extremism confronting the Arab world and Europe make the two sides united in the struggle against terrorism.
