The guardian of the two holy mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, left Saturday for Egypt on official visit following a call from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
The Royal Court said in a statement released today that the visit would discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them in all areas, as well as regional and international issues of common interest.
The guardian of the two holy mosques will also lead the delegation of the Kingdom to the Arab-European Summit.
A royal decree was issued to appoint the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to the management of state affairs and the well-being of the people during the absence of the guardian of the two holy mosques.
The Royal Decree reads as follows:

According to Article (66) of the Basic Law of the Government, published by Royal Decree No. (A / 90) of 27/8/1412 AH
Given our intention to travel out of the Kingdom this Saturday, the 18th of the month of Jumada Al-Akhirah, in 1440 AH, according to the calendar of Umm Al-Qura, corresponding to February 23, 2019, we commissioned His Highness Royal Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Abdulaziz Insert the Crown Prince into the management of state affairs and the interests of the people during our absence from the Kingdom.
