Saudi universities have posted tweets in Chinese on their Twitter accounts, announcing their intention to include Chinese in their programs.

King Abdul Aziz University said it was the first to sign an agreement to establish the Chinese Science Exchange Center for Chinese Language Teaching, indicating that it has been accredited to become the first authorized center of the Kingdom to test the Chinese language proficiency.

King Saud University also welcomed the agreement on the use of Chinese as a pedagogical method at all stages of education in the Kingdom, while Taif University announced its intention to teach Chinese because it represents a wealth of civilization and political and economic strength.

Education Minister Hamad Al-Sheikh said developed countries are adopting two or more languages ​​in addition to their mother tongue, stressing that the Kingdom's tendency to integrate Chinese into the curriculum has resulted the economic strength and strategic partnership of China.

"It is time to include Chinese in the school curriculum so that our education can align with the orientations of higher education," he said in a tweet on his Twitter account .
