Egyptian coach Talaat Youssef said his team was heading to Alexandria to meet Zamalek in the Cup.
Youssef said in a statement on the 9090 stadium radio that the team bus had left Tuesday at 9 am towards Alexandria to get to the camp in preparation for the Zamalek match in the eighth round of Egypt Cup, scheduled for Wednesday.
Amer Hussein, head of the competition committee of the Football Federation, said Tuesday morning that he had received a letter from the security authorities to postpone Cup matches for security reasons.
"I'm waiting for an official from the football federation until I return to Cairo," Youssef said.
Zamalek had finished his camp in Alexandria after the security authorities decided to postpone the Egyptian Cup.
