The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has recommended the immediate closure of camel markets in the governorates of Wadi Al-Dawasir and Al-Qurayyat.
The official ministry spokesman, Dr. Abdullah Aba al-Khail, said that this comes as a precautionary measure until the stabilization of the epidemiological situation in them, after the onset of a number of positive cases of the "Corona" virus.
He added that this procedure would encompass all markets with similar cases, indicating that closing markets would reduce the possibility of finding a source of infection in humans or camels infected by camels and prevent proliferation. especially when weather conditions are favorable.
He stressed the need to prevent the entry or exit of any camel in the market, while monitoring the state of health for a period of at least 21 days from the Closure date, by removal of samples nasal surveys every 7 days and by rapid examination of the disease in the field.
Abha al-Khail emphasized the need to spray a TH4 disinfectant on all market barns in order to clean floors and identify special clothes for use in the markets and not to leave them.
