"I am very sad because of what happened, of this life, of my patience, of my love," said Lebanese actress Mai Hariri, in a photo of Anstagram published by the famous Turkish cook Burraq with Erdogan.

She continued, "We are God and we return to him, God will have mercy on us and will be a paradise."

However, after an avalanche of comments that surprised her, Mai Hariri silenced this error, saying that she wished to offer her condolences to another publication, according to the website "Arab 21".

"Happy birthday to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and I salute the Turkish people."

Turkish officials and activists congratulated their country's president on his birthday on Wednesday by posting footage and scenes of his political career through their pages on social networking sites.

Russian President Vladimir Putin was one of the world leaders who congratulated Erdogan on his 65th birthday.
