The European Football Confederation (UEFA) has made its final decision on Real Madrid's Spanish captain, Sergio Ramos, for his actions after Ajax of Amsterdam.

Ramos had received a yellow card in the 2-1 win over Ajax in the Champions League semifinal to make sure he was off to a good start.

The Spanish defender said after the match that he had deliberately obtained a yellow card in the first leg for the absence of the second leg.

The European Football Confederation (UEFA) then decided to open an investigation into what Ramos said, while two European matches could be suspended.

The UEFA Disciplinary Committee announced Thursday that Ramos had been suspended for two European matches because of his intention to obtain a yellow card for absence from the return match.

Ramos will miss the return of the Ajax Champions League final, qualifying for the quarter-finals of the tournament or the first European match in case of exclusion.
