The Council of Ministers has taken the decision to introduce a visa called "Effective Visit", intended for people wishing to attend events organized in the Kingdom, specifying a government mechanism to regulate work on the new visa.
The Council explained that the work of the visa would go through the creation of the "National Information Center" of the Presidency in charge of State Security, in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to establish a number identification of the visa, and that the government agencies authorized to organize the events periodically provided the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Presidency of State Security No less than two months, to add to the visa systems automated.
The Council also indicated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented at the embassies and consulates of the Kingdom abroad, had issued the visa within 24 hours of receipt of the applicant's passport, subject to payment of the fees mentioned in Royal Decree No (68). 11-1437H, as well as the regulations and requirements for entry visas to the Kingdom for the purpose of the visit.
In its decision, the Council of Ministers indicated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would submit a report to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, indicating the results of the visa, possible difficulties and proposals in this regard within six months from the date of date of entry into force.
