Barcelona announced Thursday night the contract renewal of Jordi Alba, left-back of the Catalan team, for 5 seasons.
"Barcelona and Alba have reached an agreement on the renewal of the contract for five seasons, until June 30, 2024, and a fine of 500 million euros," said the Catalan club on its official website.
"In the coming days, we will announce the signing date of the new contract, which will link the player to the club."
Alba is in seventh place in the championship, playing 282 games and scoring 14 goals.
