LG unveiled the world's first smartphone with fingerprint authentication and its first LG V50 ThinQ 5G mobile phone at MWC 2019 Mobile World in Barcelona, Spain.
The phone depends on ToF Z cameras and infrared sensors.
"Fingerprint recognition technology is safer than fingerprint recognition and identifies the fingerprint of the hand by recognizing the shape, thickness and other individual characteristics of the veins in the Palm of the hand.
The LG G8 ThinQ comes with the following technical specifications:
1 – OLED screen measuring 6.1 inches at 3120 × 1440 pixels.
The 2GB random storage capacity and 128GB internal storage capacity can be increased to 2 terabytes.
3 – 8.4 mm thick and weighing 167 grams and Qualcomm Snappadragon 855 processor and a 3500 mA battery.
4.3 Rear camera (12, 16, 12), 8 megapixel front camera and Z camera as fingerprint sensor.
5 – "Android 9 Bay" system.
The phone also offers a number of other features, including a fingerprint sensor on the back, Bluetooth 5, NFC, USB-C and voice technologies such as the Boombox + speakerphone the Crystal Sound OLED Stereo Speaker, 32-Bit Quad-DAC DAC and DTS: 3D surround sound.
With the LG G8 ThinQ, LG has announced another version of the phone with less stringent specifications, aimed at users who can not afford to buy the LG G8 ThinQ.
Although the LG G8 ThinQ does not offer the same specifications as the LG G8 ThinQ, it retains its most important features: fingerprint scanning, the latest Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 855 and the three rear cameras, delivered with 13 megapixels of 16 megapixels.
The phone features a 6.2-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2248 × 1080 with an aspect ratio of 18.7: 9 and a battery of 3550 mAh.
LG did not reveal the price of the LG G8 ThinQ and the LG G8 ThinQ, but announced that they would be on sale in the coming months.
