Dr. Mohammed Mokhtar Jumaa, Minister of Awqaf, attended the launching of the second session of the "Port Said International Competition for the Preservation of the Qur'an and Religious Ablutions" at the Cultural Center in Port Said, named after the deceased Abdul Basset Abdul Samad player, which lasts 5 days, until Tuesday, March 5th.

The Minister of Awqaf delivered a speech on the scientific miracle of the Arabic language in the Holy Quran, with Dr. Ahmed Omar Hashim, a member of the Council of Senior Specialists of Port Said Governorate and tournaments organized by his people.

In a speech delivered at the opening ceremony on Friday, Major General Adil al-Ghadhban, Governor of Port Said, said that the Holy Qur'an is the one that unites the entire Muslim Ummah and that it There exists in Egypt a solid Muslim and Christian fabric that does not exist in the whole world, with the exception of Egypt. The governor of Port Said welcomed the province to all the Arab and African delegations that participated in the competition, and oversaw the existence of such a constellation of candidates and religious positions, stressing that the next competition should bring together a large number of countries. He called on the governor to broaden the base of his participation in the competition in the coming years, by inviting members of the Muslim community residing in European countries, as well as the sons of the Arab countries and Egypt, by emphasizing support for the preservation of the contest and providing all the means to succeed.

Fifty-five young people representing 29 Arab and African countries will participate in the contest, which will participate in the three branches of memorizing the Quran with its dispositions, its positive voices, its songs and its prayers.

The contest is being held under the patronage of Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli, chaired by Mr. Abdul Karim Saleh, Chairman of the Committee for the Elimination of the Quran at Al-Azhar, and its members representing Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Sudan and Morocco.
