Syrian artist Karis Bashar began shooting her first scenes from the "A safe distance" series, in front of director Leith Hajo's camera.

Bashar plays the role of a mirage who lives as a victim and tries to blame others for what is happening to him.

At the press conference that preceded the filming of the series, Bashar said that the character of "Mirage" embodied the title of the series, through his relationship with others and his desire not to involve himself emotionally with them, the fear of separation and the fear of any girl to secure her future.

"This figure represents 99% of Syrian women who have become both a man and a woman with regard to the responsibilities they assume in all aspects of life," she said.

The Syrian artist has said that this role is one of the most important roles that made her fear for her personal quest to protect herself from the emptiness and shocks she faces.

The "Safety Distance" series is a contemporary social work with a teaser character. It is written by Iman al-Saeed and presents stories of characters seeking love, joy and salvation and avoiding further losses.
