Maradona "recognizes" the paternity of three children of two women in Cuba

Argentine football legend Diego Maradona should admit the fatherhood of three children in Cuba, his lawyer said.

This means that the 58-year-old will become the father of eight children.

Maradona had previously denied having any sons other than his ex-wife.

Maradona's lawyer, Matthias Morla, said Maradona would travel to Havana to undergo DNA testing and publicly admit the children later in the year.

The children, of two different women, will be able to bear the name of Maradona.

The former Argentinian spent several years between 2000 and 2005 in Cuba, where he was treated for cocaine addiction.

Maradona developed friendly relations with the late Cuban leader Fidel Castro during his stay in the country and painted Castro's face on his leg.

Maradona previously denied having children other than her 29-year-old daughter, Gianna, and her 31-year-old sister, Dalma, both of her ex-wife, Claudia Villafan, who broke up in 2003 after a marriage that lasted about 20 years. years.

Since then, Maradona has confessed to her sons, Diego Junior, Liana, 32, and Liana, then 22, at the end of a dispute with their mother.
