Miss Universe winner Miss Universe Lotte van der Ze died after a family trip to Austria to celebrate her birthday.
"We left our gasoline Wednesday night, March 6, at 10 and 47 minutes," said the Dutch model family who died at the age of 20 on its official website.
The family added, "It is unthinkable that our beloved daughter is no longer with us, our heart is truly broken by what has happened."
Miss Universe, a teenager in 2016, remained in a coma for two weeks after a heart attack.
After her body was severely damaged and her brain stopped functioning, the family agreed to remove the devices that kept the girl alive in a hospital in Munich, Germany.
