The General Administration of Customs announced that imports of oud wood by the Kingdom in 2018 amounted to more than 860,000 kg, for a financial value of about 113.5 million riyals.
The Authority pointed out that the oud oil imports in 2018 amounted to 14,569 kg and had a financial value of more than 38 million riyals.
For his part, the researcher and specialist Ahmed Aldhan said, according to "home", that the Kingdom traders were confronted with three problems: the question of trade Oud and Dahn Oud, the customs procedures in the countries of origin and the possibility of fraud sources and the entry of industrial rods.
He pointed out that the kingdom consumed about 65% of the size of the global Oud market, pointing out that the last decades had been made up of active Saudi companies specializing in this field and had become an internationally renowned producer and Oud products .
