The completion of basic projects in the region of Asir aims to improve the quality of medical services provided, to improve the cities and governorates of the region and to improve the efficiency of road traffic and air.

Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, governor of the Asir region, praised the zeal of wise leaders and his interest in carrying out all development projects and carrying them out for the benefit of the region and the region. its inhabitants.

The emirate of Asir has organized a press conference to announce the completion of the main projects in the region, which will have a major impact on the satisfaction of the basic services needs of the region.

Among the most important projects to be completed in Assir are King Faisal Medical City, with a capacity of more than 1,000 beds, including a specialized hospital, a cardiology center, a tumor treatment center and a third one. neurological sciences, as well as specializations for children. With regard to the transport system projects in Asir, the objective is to improve the level of traffic safety by building the Asir Jazan main road at a cost of 6 billion riyals. Expansion of the 4 billion riyal Jeddah-Jeddah coastal road will connect Asir to Mecca and Jazan on a fast track and reduce travel time between Makkah and Jazan.

In air transport, completed core projects in the Asir region included the Abha Airport Development Project and the extension of existing lounges, which were intended to increase the capacity of 1.1 million passengers per year. to 2.5 million passengers and increase the number of gates for domestic flights and two gates for domestic flights.
