Japan's Honda Motor Co. announced Tuesday it recalled a million cars in the United States.
The company recalled 1.2 million Honda and Acura vehicles after discovering problems with airbags and defects produced by Takata, according to Agence France-Presse.
Honda announced in a statement that it would replace damaged airbags on models manufactured between 2001 and 2016.
She said she discovered industrial defects following the fall of a small 2004 Honda Odyssey, which injured the driver's arm.
According to Honda, the total number of cars recovered reached 12.9 million cars.
