Migraine causes dry eyes

Migraines are a health problem that worries the comfort of many people, causing them pain, discomfort and intense pain. How can this headache cause dry eyes? This is confirmed by a new study, which showed that people over 65 years old and suffering from migraine double the risk of dry eyes twice as much as men and 2.5 times in women. Chronic dryness occurs when the eye can not produce moisturizing tears, a common problem among older people, especially women.

According to the new study published in the "Gamma" medical magazine, the number of adults suffering from chronic dry eye between 8 and 34% worldwide and the risk of dry eye in migraine patients by 20% regardless their age group.

Eye dryness is no longer limited to aging, a growing problem among young people because of the increasing number of hours spent watching screens and using computers in many businesses.

The study also revealed a close link between hemorrhagic dryness and ocular. Research has shown that dry eye inflammation causes migraines and that severe dryness affects the eye nerves and causes attacks of this painful headache.

The study, conducted at the University of North Carolina, also highlighted the main causes of dry eye: diabetes, thyroid problems, exposure to smoke, dry weather and long-term use of contact lenses.

It should be noted that dry eye is a symptom of the disease, but it is not a disease in itself, and often dry eye with the following symptoms:
