UEFA has announced the list of Champions League candidates: Cristiano Ronaldo of Juventus, Lionel Messi of Barcelona, Leroy Sani of Manchester City and Sadio Mani of Liverpool.
Ronaldo scored a hat-trick at Atletico Madrid, while Messi managed to score a double and do the same against Lyon.
The winner will be chosen on the basis of a public vote on the official website of UEFA. The traditional duo Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are in direct competition.
The draw for the quarterfinals of the competition will take place on Friday to see the teams' upcoming matches and their dates.
