Sevilla sacked coach Pablo Machin a few hours after bidding farewell to the European league.
The Andalusian club said in an official statement that Machin was being sacked, and Joaquin Caparros announced the task temporarily until the end of the season.
Sevilla had a tough European night on Thursday with a 3-4 loss to Slavia Prague in the last Champions League match despite a 3-2 lead early in the extra period.

The 43-year-old Machin participated in Sevilla during the opening season and led in 50 games, winning 26, 9 and 15 losses.
Sevilla scored 97 goals under Machin, while conceding 59 goals.

Caparos is famous for his first tenure in Seville between 2000 and 2005, when he promoted several young names to the first team: Sergio Ramos, Jesús Navas, José Antonio Reyes, Antonio Puerta and Carlos Martina, his current assistant.
