The Andalusian club said in an official statement that Machin was being sacked, and Joaquin Caparros announced the task temporarily until the end of the season.

Sevilla had a tough European night on Thursday with a 3-4 loss to Slavia Prague in the last Champions League match despite a 3-2 lead early in the extra period.

Leaving the Spanish team championship crowned by the former in 5 competitions, beating 5-6 total two games.

The 43-year-old Machin participated in Sevilla during the opening season and led in 50 games, winning 26, 9 and 15 losses.

Machin drove Girona to a historic performance in the Premier League for the first time in his history last season, but led him to occupy tenth place, a performance that prompted the Seville administration to sign it, link that lasted more than several months.

Return of Cabaros
