FIFA has officially approved the new amendments to the Club World Cup, which will be implemented from 2021, under the direction of Gianni Infantino.
Several European media reported on Friday night that FIFA has agreed to increase the number of clubs participating in the World Club Cup to 24 instead of 7 teams.
The new version of the tournament is expected to begin in the summer of 2021 and will be replaced by the Confederations Cup, which will be canceled in its current version.
The teams will consist of 8 teams from Europe, 3 from South America, North and Central America, Asia and Africa and one from Oceania.
