US and Russian scientists plan to create a navigation system in lunar orbit

Russian and American scientists discussed the creation of a space-like astronaut system, such as "Glonas" in the moon's orbit, said the vice president of the United States. Russian Academy of Sciences, Yuri Baliga, at the TASS news agency.

The interviews took place at NASA headquarters in the United States on March 12 and all participants in the lunar projects could use the lunar system in the future.

The Russian and American delegations also discussed the space mission to Venus, with an 80% Russian contribution, the US lunar space station project, the landing of astronauts on the moon and the Russian lunar program using probes unmanned, said the vice president of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"We have agreed to hold two more meetings, one on the Moon in the spring of 2020 and another this autumn on Venus," he said.
