Recent studies have compared the effects of junk food to what bacterial infections can cause in the human body, a sign of the risk associated with these diets.

According to a new scientific study published in the journal Ibelieveinscience Scientific on the impact of these high-fat foods on the immune system that damage the immune system.

Scientists subjected the mice to a diet high in fat and calories for some time and observed systemic inflammation that continues even after mice resume their normal diets.

It was later discovered that when mice ate this food, the inflammatory response of their immune system was similar to that of a bacterial infection.

"Unhealthy foods have resulted in an unexpected increase in the number of certain immune cells in the blood of mice," said Annette Krist, a researcher at the University of Bonn in Germany.

Although the inflammation disappears once unhealthy foods are replaced with healthy foods, the genetic changes associated with the immune response induced by these foods will remain.

According to scientists, a constantly stimulated immune system can have health consequences, such as diabetes and heart disease.

"The fundamentals of healthy eating should be more important in education than now," said Ik Latz. "This is only so that we can vaccinate children at an early stage against the temptations of food companies.
