There are hundreds of strange and wonderful theories on how to increase and improve fertility, as well as a number of natural ways to increase the chances of pregnancy.
In his interview with Mirror Online, Dr. Amin Gurgi, a fertility consultant at the Fertility and Gynecology Academy, revealed five natural ways to promote fertility:
1. stop smoking
Dr. Gurgi recommends that men and women stop smoking when they try to conceive and have children.
"Smoking significantly increases the time required for pregnancy, and passive smoking affects the reproductive systems of men and women, so it is best to avoid smoking," he said.
2. reduce the tension
Reducing stress can help increase fertility in humans.
"Although stress affects everyone differently, under severe conditions, it can negatively affect the female reproductive system and may be associated with low fertility or the possibility of fertilization," said Dr. Gurgi. "There are many ways to reduce stress, such as reducing workload, practicing meditation or looking for a support network."
3. Stop drinking alcohol
Consumption of alcohol can reduce the chances of pregnancy in women by more than 50%, according to Dr. Gurgi.
The fertility consultant explained that a moderate consumption of alcohol can also help to increase the risk of infertility. "In men, excessive consumption of alcohol interferes with hormone levels, which affects the quality and production of sperm."
4. Exercise regularly
"Exercising at an optimal rate of type and body capacity helps to build strength and prepare the body for pregnancy, but excessive exercise can reduce the risk of ovulation regularly on a monthly basis, thus reducing the chances of pregnancy, "said Dr. Gurgi.
5 – healthy eating
Gurgi recommends maintaining a healthy diet, with adequate levels of potassium, magnesium, sodium, calcium and vitamin D, to increase the chances of pregnancy. For example, a balanced diet contributes to the satisfaction of the body's essential vitamins, thus helping the body to create an ideal environment for having children.
