The Ministry of Justice announced that it had passed 11,510 marriage contracts in various parts of the Kingdom, in addition to 4,434 divorce acts during the month of Jumada last year.
The ministry said in its monthly chart that Makkah was the most promising area for marriage contracts, with 3,311. The Holy City was also the highest regarding the divorce sukuk of 1120 here.
Marriage contracts were up 10 percent from the same month last year, with marriage contracts signed by Saudi nationals accounting for 84 percent of total contracts, with daily contracts ranging from 366 to 917.
The Sukuk issued last month in the Mecca and Riyadh regions accounted for half of the total Sukuk, and the number of instruments issued in all regions between 140 and 251 instruments per day.
