Japanese scientists have discovered that coffee-containing compounds can slow down or stop the growth of prostate cancer after experiments on mice.
According to the study, caffeine present in coffee would inhibit cell growth resistant to common anticancer drugs, according to Sputnik.
The scientists said the compounds discovered could be screened for drug-resistant prostate cancer if their effectiveness was confirmed in humans.
